Hi, I'm Felicia
and I'm a UX designer.
There are many things I enjoy doing: binge reading my favorite books, gaming with friends, listening to my favorite songs while crocheting, etc.
But the thing I love doing the most is creating a positive impact. I chose to pursue an education in user experience design because of a story I heard about vegetable peelers.
I believe in creating positive impact through empathetic design.
Back in the day, a man named Sam Farber noticed his wife struggling to use a veggie peeler. She had arthritis and her condition made it nearly impossible to use the poorly designed peeler.
At the time, veggie peelers used to be flimsy pieces of dull metal that could barely get the job done. Many others were struggling to use the peelers too.
Farber worked for a company that designed kitchenware. So he set out with a research and design team to bring us the spiffy new peelers we know and love today.
It’s a really heartwarming story on how, through love and empathy for his wife, this man redesigned this household product that was more user friendly for everyone, even users without conditions like arthritis.

I hope to be an accessibility specialist one day.
I believe that everyone should care about accessibility because everyone will experience being disabled at some point in their lives.
Whether it be temporary, like breaking your arm from falling, Or it might be something you're born with, like a visual impairment. And everyone, grows old eventually causing many everyday tasks become difficult to do.
When you design for accessibility, you design for yourself, your loved ones, strangers you pass by, the whole world!
